Nicolas ! C'est le film avec le fromage qui parle !

That's an actual quote overheard at my house this morning. :D

Léo turned on the television and was delighted to find one of his new favorite programs: Sponge Bob dubbed into German (which Léo doesn't understand). So of course Léo wanted to tell his brother about it.

Translation: Nicolas! It's the movie with the talking cheese!

Having never seen the show but seen the character around, my daughter calls him Bob Cheeseman.

Sponge Bob does look a little like a talking cheese, doesn't he? It's a pretty reasonable guess... :D

Awe. some. Your kids crack me up with their languages. I think you should post about Nico's use of BBC English a la Sir David Attenborough. LOL.

I like watching cartoons dubbed in German sometimes too -- it's about my level of language skills. Or slightly higher.

Thanks Wry!!!

Actually, I mentioned Nico's David Attenborough impression in the comments of this post when another commenter recognized one of Nico's drawings as being Attenborough-inspired. :D

I'm planning to post more about it, though, because it's just too funny... ;^)
