Yay, I finished the illustrations!!

Normally, I like to keep them as a surprise as each chapter is posted. But I don't think you can guess the whole story just by looking at the illustrations or the character chart, so (as an experiment or preview) I've posted them on an illustrations page!

This means I'll have no trouble getting Part VII: Orem High ready for the February 10th start date! All that's left to do is the page layout and write the caution/disclaimer...

I love the math on the blackboard illustration---vastly superior to the usual "e=mc^2" scribbles that usually make up math illustrations. I hope it plays a part in the story...

Hey Mathmom!!!

The content on the blackboard sort of plays a role in the story. It's mentioned in a couple of places that they're studying trigonometry, so I wrote some trig identities on the board. :D

It's not the first time I've done this, though -- did you see the blackboard in my Naked People at Rutgers comic? ;^)

Hello!!! Sorry to lose touch for so long! Congrats on the novel! It's very interesting to see your progress! I of course love the Spencer storyline, but I think you can figure out why.

Hey Brandon!!!

It's great to hear from you again!!!

I have to tell you that following my blog is the best way to keep in touch with me because my habit is to take care of my blog first and save all my personal emailing for after I'm done with the blog. ;^)

And I'm looking forward to illustrating Spencer's segment -- It's easily one of the best segments of the novel. :D

Let me know as son as you do. In other news, I may get a chance to meet your brother. I am possibly (if I can scrape funding together) going to the JWHA conference. A friend of mine is very active in it and I've started to help with some of his research and with him and a few others, we are working on a paper that we may present there.

Oh yeah, few other things, I'm now working on my Master's in History at Utah State and we just had twins in October, so now I have 4 kids, two girls, Viktoria, 7, Elizabeth 4 and the two twin boys, Michael and Thomas.

I have been sort of writing, but mostly doing history stuff, not fiction (which I really need to get back into, my writing style is suffering from too much dry historical writing). Anyway, still stuck in Utah, but it's at least entertaining.

The plan is to have Bordeaux Mission ready to serialize for late September of 2009.

That would be really cool if you get to go to the JWHA conference!!! I expect that my brother will be there since he's very active in the group. Be sure to tell me if you do, and I'll tell him to look for you. And then blog about the whole thing -- I'll be happy to add you to Outer Blogness! :D

I'll bet your kids are adorable! I have two myself (same two as back in my exmo-social days), and if you page thorough my blog, you can see how cute they are. ;^)
