It takes a lot of faith to believe that!!!

How much faith does it take to believe in evolution? Or that there is no god?

Let's ask the feminist Mormon housewives!!!

Please keep in mind that it is very cool of them to be willing to host a civil discussion on this subject, so let's keep it that way. I assume it goes without saying that if anyone clicks from my blog to fMh and then makes trouble over there, I won't be happy about it...

Nice Post! I commented on the other site, but forgot to say how much I liked it.

I actually have limited my time reading fMh because of some of the postings I read over there (I was offended, ha!). Someone was discussing the divorce of a friend, and how "wild and crazy" they got. Also, someone else mentioned that the person who had left the church "seemed happy but we know was really not truly happy".

There was a rebuttal of that, but as you can imagine I get a little annoyed by those kinds of statements. To prevent myself from logging in there and starting some sort of flame war - I decided just to limit the posts there that I read. I have my space, other people have their own opinions and their right to their space, you know?

I will read and will comment if I can be civil...

Hey Aerin!!!

I know exactly how you feel. A lot of times I read stuff on various Mormon blogs and can't help but roll my eyes and go "Oh, please!"

But the thing is that I think there's also a lot of good, open discussion on fMh. I think there's value in having serious civil discussions on various topics with people whose worldview is very different from my own. It helps everyone understand other perspectives better.

And sometimes maintaining a civil discussion means there will be threads on other people's blogs where you just say "Okay, whatever, I'm not going to worry about this one..."

Now that you have presented this topic to believers, what do you think of re-posting it here on your blog and seeing the different kinds of responses to it?
