It takes a village...

...or a galaxy?

Leo decided to bring a handful of glow-in-the-dark stars to bed with him: one tiny one, and ten slightly larger ones.

So, as I was cuddling him, I suggested that the tiny one was the baby, and set aside two larger ones to be the Mommy and Daddy. Then I asked him who the others were. Here's what he came up with:

3. the grandma
4. the grandpa
5. the babysitter
6. the Paleontologist
7. the teacher
8. the train driver

Then he thought for a long time to name the last two, and finally decided that they were

9. the French teacher
and
10. the "teller" who "tells lots of stuff"
:D

I wonder what sort of important things the teller has contributed to his upbringing...

Thanks Holly!!!

Hey Sabayon!!!

Yeah, I'm kind of wondering about that one too. I'm not sure precisely what inspired that idea.

With the paleontologist, not only is there the song, but they were also watching "The Making of Walking with Dinosaurs" earlier that day, which is all about how the computer animation experts were working together with the paleontologists to try to figure out how the dinosaurs might have moved. (Interestingly -- but not too surprisingly -- the paleontologists talked about how that experience helped them understand the dinosaurs better.) So "the paleontologist" was fresh in Leo's mind, as were the grandparents (who just visited).

But "the teller"? I can't think of anyone specific that he might have had in mind...

And here's a follow-up:

He fell asleep with his glowing stars again last night, and spread them around the bed by rolling in his sleep. So when I went to check on him during the night, he looked like a little baby angel in a starry sky. ;^)
