If only I wanted to worship one God, I'd totally be a Muslim

Or at least according to this chart (hat-tip Friendly Atheist):

Otherwise, I've chosen correctly. ;^)

Hey SUNN(0)))ofaB.C.Rich!!!

Thanks for the correct link -- I should have had it in my original post.

You're right the comments funny! And maybe also a little scary...

I had no idea the main qualifications of being Muslim were not liking bacon all that much and loving hummus...but then I do think reincarnation would be neat and I own a black cat. This religion stuff is very confusing.

Hey Sabayon!!!

I know! Lucky thing they provided this handy chart! ;^)

Whoever wrote this clearly has no idea about Jews and hummus!

I like this idea of basing my religion on what foods I like. Is there a religion that just worships food? I would totally join that one.

Jews are "meh" about hummus?

C. L. Hanson said...

Hey Scholastica and Andrew!!!

Yeah I thought about that too. I figure they mean that being meh about hummus is OK if you're Jewish, but it's a problem if you're Muslim. Either that or else this chart shouldn't be taken too seriously. ;^)

OTOH, I we're being picky, the Mormons ought to be in the polytheist category.

Hey Rebecca!!!

That would be the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. ;^)

So if you were going to design your own religion with its own Must Eat Dish and Taboo Food, what would it be?

I think I would have to go for Chicken Tikka Masala in category one and sweet pickles in category two!

Apparently there is a big Israeli-Lebanese competition about hummus: (apologies for the link pasting =)
